A small amount of plain ketchup is unlikely to cause serious harm, but its sugar and salt content, and sometimes onion powder in the recipe, mean it's not worth offering intentionally.
Ketchup itself isn't a major toxin risk in the small amounts a dog might lick off a plate, but it offers no benefit, and some recipes include onion powder as a flavour base — worth checking if you're being careful.
