Can Dogs Eat Coriander / Cilantro?

SafeSmall Amounts

Yes. Fresh coriander (cilantro) is safe for dogs in small amounts.

Why

Coriander carries no toxicity concern for dogs at normal culinary quantities, and coriander seed is a common component of South African spice blends like those used in biltong and boerewors.

Serving tips

  • A small amount, fresh or as a spice, is fine
  • Not necessary to add intentionally, but not a concern if present
